Michael Samson – President & Founder
Michael's background is in Marketing Strategy and Senior Business Development. Having been the youngest employed Marketing Manager for IBM New Zealand he was responsible for developing the positioning of IBM New Zealand Global Services.Prior to IBM, Michael was a Business Consultant with the Government of New Zealand. His role was to assist sponsored start ups with business planning and strategy. Michael has a degree in Commerce, specializing in Marketing & Management from the University of Otago, New Zealand. In support of creating excellent team development programs, Michael co-created Inspiring Teamwork™ – "how to achieve and sustain exceptional teamwork" with Dr. Gervase Bushe – creator of award winning Clear Leadership program. Inspiring Teamwork? is delivered as a series of workshops and integrated into INSPIRE CANADA team building programs. Michael brings enthusiasm and strategic thinking to companies looking for more business value in their community engagement, leadership and team development initiatives. Stefan Holecka – Facilitator Building CommunityWith experience in the construction business spanning 20 years, Stefan has worked on residential and commercial construction and held positions from carpenter to construction project manager. His passion is working on building projects from back yards to giant buildings! Currently the sole owner of Core Projects Ltd, a Vancouver based Construction Company focusing on the Residential Sector; Stefan is now the upcoming Star of the HGTV Television Series – "Take it Outside." Prior to this, Stefan was in charge of Real Canadian Superstore construction throughout Western Canada and the construction projects within White Spot Restaurants. Brett Lloyd – Facilitator & Coach Inspiring Teamwork™ Brett is a Certified Facilitator for Clear Leadership™ and Appreciative Leadership™ programs. He has also been a group facilitator for the Team Skills course (focusing on small group dynamics) in the Simon Fraser University MBA program.Brett has managed numerous organizations, in Canada and the United Kingdom, in positions such as Managing Director, Executive Director, President and CEO. Sasja Nieukerk – Facilitator and Public Speaker Inspiring Teamwork™ A seasoned leadership development facilitator, Sasja has assisted numerous companies deliver best in class leadership development programs for leaders at various levels.Sasja holds a Master of Arts (MA) with a specialization in Leadership Development & Training from Royal Roads University and is a certified professional co-active coach and member of the International Coaching Federation. She is a certified instructor of the Clear Leadership™ program and is qualified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Sasja has also assisted several organizations develop purposeful employee engagement surveys. Currently, Sasja is employed by Fraser Health Authority to deliver several leadership development programs including Clear Leadership™, plus coaching of supervisors and managers at various levels within the organization. Bertha Clough – Researcher Research A seasoned leader in the financial sector, Bertha recently retired in 2010. Her focus outside of travel with husband Jeff is to support companies with their Philanthropy strategy. A Certified Accountant (CA) by background, Bertha has over thirty years of experience in the finance sector with her most recent position, General Manager of Business Services for Coast Capital Savings. Currently a member of The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), she is responsible for research at INSPIRE CANADA, in particular sourcing examples of Canadian Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's) achieving extraordinary business success along with community value simultaneously. John Jesten – Facilitator & Chef Kitchen Angels™ With experience in the restaurant business spanning 15 years, John has worked as sous chef in leading restaurants and was formerly the executive chef for Chill Winston in Gastown. Vancouver.Dubbed INSPIRE CANADA's own Jamie Oliver, John brings humor and dedication to the Kitchen Angels™ program. Currently, John provides catering for the movie stars that are involved in the burgeoning BC film industry. Anneke Rees – Facilitator Inspiring Engagement™ Formerly the CEO of Habitat For Humanity – Greater Vancouver, Anneke brings executive leadership in the non-profit sector to assist clients build philanthropy strategy for increasing corporate competitiveness and non-profit sector productivity simultaneously.Anneke has an MA in Leadership at Royal Roads University, has completed the Clear Leadership™ program and has achieved significant success for Habitat For Humanity Greater Vancouver over a seven year span as CEO.
